Data Entry Project
Overview and background
There are now (October 2005) two main modules for data entry in DHIS 2.0, the Data entry module and the Data entry form designer. The data entry module covers data capture in any type of form, both the standard list-based form and user-defined forms designed by the form designer. The form designer gives the user flexibility to design any kind of form to capture data.
Up to now, there have been the two modules Standard data entry (SDE) and the Customised data entry (CDE). The SDE covered only standardised list-based data capture and the CDE covered both form design and data capture for these forms. To minimise the complexity for the users we have decided to integrate the data capture for the two modules into one, the Data entry module. Moving the data capture part of CDE to the data entry module, CDE will then only be responsible for form design, and hence have been renamed to Data entry form designer.
