Welcome to HISP International

HISP is an extensive South-South-North network with a focus on information systems and open source software for public health care. We work closely with organizations such as the OpenHealth project in the WHO and the Health Metrics Network, as well as with complementary projects such as OpenMRS. The project was initiated by universities in Cape Town and Oslo in 1994, and it is now present in a number of African and Asian countries.
